Siem Reap and the floating village

We arrive at our hostel called Sam So Guesthouse and are greeted by a lovely lady called Mrs Samso. She shakes our hands, as we introduce ourselves and has the kindest smile. As we stay at Sam So, we come to really love Mrs Samso, Mr Samso and all of their staff including their tuk tuk drivers! This guesthouse has the friendliest, most helpful staff we have come across. They are constantly smiling are gueinelly happy to help. On the last day, Mrs Sam So seemed very sad and told us that someone had written a bad comment on trip advisor about her. Out here, trip advisor is their number one selling point and with the being number one accommodation for 2013 she was disappointed this has happened. Once we had wifi we put the greatest feedback we could and on telling her she hugged Ems and told her we will be missed and we had made her day!

Anyway… On to sightseeing!
The first day we went to a ‘floating village’ about 15 minutes out of the city. This place is like somebody has taken a town and stuck it in the middle of a lake! Everything is floating and they have to catch a boat from A to B.

Kids playing a kind of bowls, but instead of bowls they use old flip flops!
